In-Depth Information
Surrounded by picnic tables, this classy, wood-sided food cart - sort of a cafe on wheels -
turns out juicy Polish sausage, big plates of nachos and veggie burritos. It's a good bet for
food on the go.

burritos.
Trinity Café CALIFORNIAN
( 530-926-6200; 622 N Mt Shasta Blvd; mains $17-28; 5-9pm Tue-Sat)
Trinity has long rivaled the Bay Area's best. The owners, who hail from Napa, infuse the
bistro with a Wine Country feel and an extensive, excellent wine selection. The organic
menu ranges from delectable, perfectly cooked steaks, savory roast game hen to creamy-
on-the-inside, crispy-on-the-outside polenta. The warm, mellow mood makes for an over-
all delicious experience.
Lily's CALIFORNIAN
( www.lilysrestaurant.com ; 1013 S Mt Shasta Blvd; breakfast & lunch mains $9-17, dinner mains $14-25;
8am-4pm Mon-Fri, 4-10pm Sat & Sun; )
Enjoy quality Californian cuisine - Asian- and Mediterranean-touched salads, fresh sand-
wiches and all kinds of veg options - in a cute, white, clapboard house. Outdoor tables
overhung by flowering trellises are almost always full, especially for breakfast. After clos-
ing and re-opening in a few variations, the old management is back, keeping this a Shasta
classic.
Andaman Healthy Thai Cuisine THAI
(313 N Shasta Blvd; mains $12-23; 11am-9pm Mon, Tue, Thu & Fri, from 4pm Sat & Sun)
The food is great, but the kitchen and the staff can't keep up with the crowds. It also serves
burgers if you're traveling with fussy folk.
