Divinely situated away from town, this upscale golf resort and spa has Arts and
Crafts-style chalets nestled in the woods around the shores of Lake Siskiyou. They're a bit
soulless, but they're immaculate, and each has a kitchen and gas fireplace. Basic lodge
rooms are near the golf course, which boasts some challenging greens and amazing views
of the mountain.
The restaurant has excellent views as well and serves Californian cuisine with a large
selection of steaks.
Eating
Trendy restaurants and cafes here come and go with the snowmelt, but there are still some
tried-and-true places, favored by locals and visitors alike. For more options head 6 miles
south to Dunsmuir, an unexpected hotspot for great food. A farmers market (

Mon) sets up on Mt Shasta Blvd during summer.

Walk in hungry and you'll be plagued with an existential breakfast crisis: the feta spinach
