Figures 8.2-a and 8.2-B Hill landform signature
Contours have been superimposed over the photograph in Figure 8.2
of a small hill or mound (called the Indian Mounds) on the Louisiana State
University campus. The contours are drawn to illustrate what the con-
tours might look like in the landscape. The same landform is shown in
plan with the actual contours taken from a topographic survey.
Hypothetical contour lines have been superimposed on the drive-
way shown in Figure 8.3-A. In 8.3-B, the same driveway is shown in plan
