Die Anwendung von NASBA zum Nachweis lebensmittelübertragbarer Viren ist
weit weniger verbreitet als die RT-PCR. NASBA-Assays wurden für den Nachweis
von HAV und Rotavirus in Lebensmitteln [ 65 , 66 ], Norovirus in Stuhlproben [ 67 ],
Norovirus in Umgebungsproben [ 68 ] und Astrovirus in Stuhlproben beschrieben
[ 69 , 70 ].
