Sea: Condor Ferries are the sole car ferry operator on the sea routes from both the UK and
France. Fast ferries operate from Weymouth and Poole on the south coast of England and
St Malo on the north coast of Brittany. In addition a conventional ferry operates a daily
service from Portsmouth. Many of the ferries travelling to and from England stop off in
Guernsey, allowing inter-island connections.
The traditional ferry at one on the ramps at Elizabeth Terminal.
There are a number of other companies, which operate passenger only ferries to and from
France, particularly Normandy and to some of the other Channel Islands. The specific
companies and frequency of services varies from year to year so it is advisable to check
each to see what is being offered.
Ferries from both France and England arrive at the Elizabeth Terminal in St Helier, with a
number of facilities, which the present day traveller would expect. A smaller number of
ferries do arrive at the Albert Quay, which is in the original harbour, just a short walk from
the Elizabeth Terminal.
Further information is available from the Port of Jersey .
Air: Jersey is very well connected to the rest of the British Isles, particularly during the
summer months when there are direct flights from numerous airports. In 2014 the main
operators are shown below, but clearly in the rapidly changing world of airlines this in-
formation is subject to change at short notice:
Aurigny - Guernsey and Stansted
