and rice (R$66). Now has other branches around town too.

Located in a nineteenth-
century house typical of Botafogo, with a relaxed dining
area decorated in a retro 1960s style, this treasure of a
restaurant deserves going slightly out of the way for. Chef
Roberta Ciasca comes up with modern Brazilian food at its
most delicious - incorporating fresh, local ingredients
presented with a French twist (salmon with spinach, mash
and pistachio pilaf, for example, at R$51.80). They also do a
R$110 tasting menu.

Friendly restaurant
(though you wouldn't know it from the outside) serving up
moderately priced Afro-Bahian cooking. The meals always
take a long time to appear, but the
bobó

manioc purée),
moquecas
and other Bahian specialities are
worth the wait.
