Configuring Networking
Depending on how you choose to deploy vCenter Orchestrator, you may wish to designate a
separate IP address for vCO to listen on. This is done easily through the vCenter Orchestrator
Coni guration page and should be the i rst thing you set up during your implementation. Follow
these steps:
1. Open a web browser, and go to
https://<computer IP address or DNS name>:8283
2. Log in with your credentials:
User: vmware
Password: <your password>
3. Click the Network tab on the left.
4. In the IP Address drop-down, select the IPv4 or IPv6 IP address you wish vCenter
Orchestrator to listen on. You'll notice that the DNS and port information populates.
5. Click Apply.
Configuring Authentication
vCenter Orchestrator is capable of working with a variety of targets for user authentication.
