10. When finished, press the End key to generate the Captivate files
and display your new movie in Storyboard view.
Editing a Template
There may come a time when you need to make changes to an existing
template. To do this, you'll simply open the template, make the
changes exactly as you would to a regular movie file, and then save the
template. Captivate has a shortcut that displays the templates in the
template directory so that you can get to them quickly and easily.
To open a template for editing, follow these steps:
1.
From the File menu, choose Edit template to display the folder of
Captivate templates.
2.
Click the name of the template you want to edit.
3.
Make changes as necessary.
4.
From the File menu, choose Save . Note that the Save as tem-
plate option isn't available—or necessary, since the open file is
already a template.
5.
From the File menu, choose Close to close the template.
Viewing and Changing Movie Size
When we talk about the size of a movie, there are really two
considerations:
The size of the movie “screen”—that is, the dimensions of the
recording area that determine the width and height of the dis-
played movie on a monitor. This is originally set when you record
the movie but can be changed if needed.
The size of the file, in bytes. This is determined by a combination
of the resolution, number of slides, types of elements, and dimen-
sions of the displayed movie. Depending on your delivery mecha-
nism (such as on CD or DVD, as a download from a web page, or
stored on a server), you may need to be concerned with file size.
