Click Save to save the template to the Templates folder and dis-
play the template in your Captivate view.

From the File menu, choose Close to close the template.
Using a Template to Record a New Movie
Once you've created a template, you can use it to serve as the basis for
subsequent movies. For the most part, recording a movie with a tem-
plate is very similar to recording a new movie (as described in Chapter
4). There are a few minor differences:
The size of the recording area is defined in the template. You can
move the area around on your screen or resize a window to fit into
the recording area, but you cannot change the size or shape of the
recording area.
There is at least one slide in the template, and often many slides.
Once you've set the recording area, you'll see a window that asks
where you want to add the new slides you'll be recording.
To record a new movie using a template, follow these steps:
1.
Do one of the following to display the list of available templates:
From the Captivate main menu, choose Record or create a
new project.
From anywhere within Captivate, open the File menu and
choose Record/Create , and then New project .
Note: If you have a movie open, this will close the current movie. If
you haven't saved your movie, Captivate will prompt you to do so.

Browse to point to the template you want to use and click Open to
display the selected template.

Click OK to display the Record additional slides window, as shown
in Figure 12-6.

The Record additional slides window displays small images of each
of the slides in the template. You can see the slide labels, if any. If
there are no slide labels, the slides will be numbered. If the slide
icon and label are grayed-out and appear lighter than other slides
in the template, that indicates that the slide is hidden. You can
