In-Depth Information
Zoom Right ( )—Click (or click and hold) this icon to display the
later slides in the movie. Note that this particular Zoom icon does
not change the size of the displayed slides.
Captivate also offers a zoom slider that allows you to change the
Branching view from 25% (very small) to 400% (huge) of the original
size. You can either slide the rectangular control in the center of the
slider, or type (or select) a percentage in the Zoom percentage box in
the upper-right corner of the window.
Grouping
If your movie has a lot of slides, you can create slide groups to make
them easier to manage. A slide group can display as either collapsed
(taking up the space of a single slide) or expanded (each slide in the
group taking up a full slide space).
Tip: Grouping slides is a tool for managing slides within Captivate.
Group functions do not carry over to the finished movie.
You can perform functions on a slide group just as you do on a single
slide (such as moving, deleting, or hiding). In addition, you can assign a
border color to all slides in a group for easy identification.
Creating a Slide Group
To create a slide group, follow these steps:
1.
Select the slides that you want to group, either by using the mouse
to draw a box around the selected slides, or by clicking one slide
and then holding down the Shift key to select additional slides.
Note: Slides must be concurrent in order to group them. For exam-
ple, you can group slides 8, 9, 10, and 11, but you cannot make a
group of just slides 8, 10, and 12.
2.
Once the slides are selected, you can create a group in any of the
following ways:
Click the Create Group icon (a square with a dotted line
around it) at the top of the Branching view window.
Right-click and choose Slide Group , and then choose Create .
