Aligning Elements
Though you could manually move elements into a line with each other,
it is easier and more accurate to use the alignment function when you
want elements to line up perfectly. There's even a toolbar of alignment
icons that makes this task very easy.
To turn on the Alignment toolbar, follow these steps:
1.
In Edit view, from the View menu, click Toolbars and then Align-
ment to select it, or right-click on any displayed toolbar and select
Alignment. A check mark appears on the menu, and the Alignment
toolbar displays in the location you last placed it. If you haven't
displayed the Alignment toolbar before, the default location is
across the bottom of the screen.

2. To move the Alignment toolbar, click on the vertical dotted line on
the far left (or top) of the toolbar, then drag the toolbar to a new
location on any side of the Captivate screen. You can also drag the
toolbar to the center of the screen to display it in a “floating”
window.
When you align objects, Captivate will move all the elements you
select in a line with the first one selected (the “anchor” element). You
can easily see which is the anchor element because it will have white
handles; subsequently selected objects will have black handles.
To align objects, follow these steps:
1.
Select two or more objects.
2.
Click the icon representing the type of alignment you want.
