When Casino Niagara (5705FallsAve.,905/374-3598, www.casinoniagara.com , 24hours
daily) first opened in 1996, it was meant as a temporary location while a larger, permanent
casino was being built. Once the permanent casino, Fallsview Casino Resort, was complete
and operating, the Ontario government decided to keep Casino Niagara open. Casino
Niagara is much smaller than Fallsview, but still has a lot for gamers, including 2,700 slot
machines, 40 tables for gaming, and poker rooms. There are four restaurants and free live
music 9pm-1:30am on weekends on the main gaming floor.
The Fallsview Casino Resort (6380 Fallsview Blvd., 888/325-5788,
www.fallsviewcasinoresort.com , 24 hours daily) is Canada's largest gaming facility. This
casino primarily attracts Toronto residents, and draws a sizable crowd no matter the time
of day. This world-class casino has 3,000 slot machines and more than 100 gaming tables.
