Katie asks Jason two questions during the section that follows

Let's add two more shots of Jason's reac-
tion after each question. Position the playhead at 32 seconds and 18 frames in the Timeline, just after Katie
says the line “So, you're the one that's been playing all the tricks on me.”
Remember:
You can use the
clip's audio waveform to visually locate the start of each line of dialogue. Select Scene 17 Slate 24 Take 1
(third favorite) in the Event Browser, and press Q to connect the clip to the Primary Storyline. Next place
the playhead at 37 seconds and 22 frames in the Timeline, just after Katie says the line “Is it because I
moved into your room?” Select Scene 17 Slate 24 Take 4 (second favorite) in the Event Browser and press
Q to connect a second clip to the Primary Storyline. Press Shift+1 to return the Source Media back to All,
and then select both Connected clips in the Timeline and press +Option+Down Arrow to overwrite both
clips to the Primary Storyline. Play back the section.
In the second half of the sequence, Joyce rushes down the stairs to find Katie playing by herself. Katie protests
that she was really playing with Jason, prompting Joyce to explain to her that Jason died many years ago. The
sequence ends with the final shot of the film as Katie waits in her room for Jason to return.
This section of the sequence is covered with the following angles:

Scene 17 Slate 27 Take 1:
A short point-of-view insert of the empty hallway.

Scene 17 Slate 28 Take 3:
A medium shot of Katie that covers all her dialogue with Joyce at the stairs
(see Figure 12.11).

Scene 17 Slate 29 Take 2:
A medium shot of Joyce from when she rushes down the stairs up until she
exits the frame to make her way to the photo display.

Scene 17 Slate 30 Take 1:
Starts on Katie, and then Joyce enters the frame and the camera follows them
over to the photo display. The main purpose of the shot is as a bridge that takes the character from the stairs
area of the hallway to the photo display.

Scene 17 Slate 31 Take 2:
A medium two-shot of Katie and Joyce that covers all the dialogue at the photo
display (see Figure 12.12).
