13. Let's smooth out the transition between Scene 7 Slate 16 Take 1 and Scene 7 Slate 17 Take 3 by moving
the edit point a little earlier to when Katie says the word “Kitty.” Press T to bring up the Trim tool so that
we can move the edit point with a roll edit. If you look at the end of the audio waveform for Scene 7 Slate
16 Take 1, you can clearly see the peaks for each word in Katie's line “I've got Kitty.” The first two peaks
represent the words “I've” and “got” and the third and fourth peaks represent the two syllables in the word
“Kitty” (see Figure 10.16). Click the edit point between Scene 7 Slate 16 Take 1 and Scene 7 Slate 17 Take
3, and roll it to the left by 12 frames to place it between the second and third peaks in the audio waveform
(see Figure 10.17). Press A to go back to the Select tool.
