rather than using constraints between faces and edges or traditional
constraints.
FIGURE 15.4 UCS features can be placed in the components
and used to assemble them.
4. Click the two UCS triads in the assembly to position the two compo-
nents, and then click OK to complete the constraint.
The components do not appear to be aligned correctly, because the
position of the UCS in the part that makes up the back needs to be
changed along with the height and width of that part. The parameters
that control this are embedded in the front of the drawer. Now, you
will connect the back to the parameters of the front to make them
consistent.
5. Change your Ribbon to the View tab, and click Object Visibility in the
Visibility panel to extend its drop-down menu.
6. Uncheck UCS Triad and the other UCS elements to remove them from
the Design window.
7. Double-click the c15-03 part in the Browser or in the Design window
to activate it.
8. Open the Parameters dialog box from the Quick Access toolbar.
9. Click the Link icon, and when the Open dialog box comes up, change
the Files Of Type drop-down to Inventor Files.
