Using a sketch as the path for a pattern opens a lot of options for creating
complex patterns easily.
Exploring Advanced Efficiency Features
Among Inventor's advanced features are editing tools that enable you to increase
efficiency by replicating features, editing features after their creation, and even
replacing a portion of an existing feature to give it a new contour.
In the next group of exercises, you will convert a simple block into a complex
bottle using simple tools. You will see how a good workflow allows the complex
problem to be broken down into a few simple steps.
Combining Fillet Types
Placing individual types of fillets is an easy process, but sometimes combining
types of fillets can allow you to build. That's how you'll begin to add some nice
shape to your bottle.
1. Make certain that the 2013 Essentials project file is active, and then
open c07-10.ipt from the Parts\Chapter​7 folder.
2. Orbit the part so that you can see the right and top face.
For this exercise, you will use the names of the ViewCube faces to
identify the faces on the part and the edges where they intersect.
