Using Add
New Post in
a crowded
WordPress
page is
tricky.
We describe how to create or edit a post next, and we assume you'll be doing most of your work in
Full-Screen mode. This not only allows us to focus on the screen where you're likely to do most of
your work, but it also allows us to focus only on the functions directly related to getting your post
written and edited. The other capabilities, such as tagging and categorizing your post, are only
available in the Add New Post area that shares the screen with the Dashboard and other WordPress
functionality.
tip
We recommend that you avoid doing anything except light work on the Add New Post/Edit Post page when the
Dashboard and so forth is showing. The constrained space limits your imagination as well as your ability to get
things done and can contribute to errors in your posts, accidentally deleting text, or other disasters.
