Rincón Beach Resort RESORT $$$
( 787-589-9000; www.rinconbeach.com ; Hwy 115 Km 5.8; r/ste $240/459;
) Not quite as luxurious as the Dorset, this neighboring resort is also outside of Rincón
proper. It's a boutique hotel that has some private villas, a gorgeous beach and lots of opu-
lent amenities for guests. If you like all-inclusive places where you rarely have to leave the
property unless it's to head into the water, then try this place - tennis, massages, golf and
more right at your fingertips. The rates for suites drop in low season.
La Rosa Inglesa/ English Rose Inn B&B $$
( 787-823-4032; www.larosainglesa.com ; follow signs from Hwy 413 interior; r
$115-200) High in the hills, this B&B meets a high standard of cleanliness and comes with
the best breakfast in town.
Parador Villa Antonio PARADOR $$
( 787-823-2645; www.villa-antonio.com ; Hwy 115 Km 12.3; r $115-170; )
Rincón's token parador is atypical of the genre: family-friendly, affordable and good with
the basics.
Eating
A lot of Rincón's guesthouses and hotels also serve food, so the list of restaurants in this
small municipality is impressive. Vegetarian options can be had at most places.
Horned Dorset Primavera FRENCH FUSION $$$
( 787-823-4030; www.horneddorset.com ; Hwy 429 Km 0.3; mains $30-50; din-
ner) Elegant, exclusive and extraordinary, this is among Puerto Rico's best fine dining op-
tions - where you climb the sweeping staircase to the black-and-white-tiled dining room of
billowing lined drapes and an atmosphere right out of a colonial Caribbean culinary dream.
Suffice to say, the stunning French-influenced food is dreamy, relying on seasonal, daily
menu dishes that marry seasoned duck and tropical fruit reductions, grilled mahimahi, chat-
eaubriand, porterhouse steaks and delicately prepared seafood dishes. Few surf bums turn
up here; the clinking wine glasses toast marriage proposals and business deals, and patrons
outfit themselves accordingly. Smart casual attire is required.
