Figure 6.2 is a render of a previously created stylized female character. This is
included so we can refer to the topology of the model to see how she is built
and see what our goal in the next few chapters will be.
Finally, be sure you have plenty of real-life photo references, too. Looking at
an actual live person is always a great starting point with any anatomy study.
Helpful photos you can use as general reference can be found at www.3d.sk,
which is mentioned in the appendix and well worth a visit.
With these at hand and any other images you have to help you, let's start
working the details into our model.
Torso
The torso is always the best place to start. It is the core of the body with
the limbs and head branching from it. Any changes we make to this will
eventually af ect how we detail the limbs, so it is a good idea to start
work here.
We will split this section to make it easier to follow.
