We need only 25 feet (8m), so lowering the top of the building by
50 feet (16m) should be plenty.
16. Restore the bookmark named Hotel Window. Press Esc twice to clear
any selections in the model.
17. Launch the Select Visible command once again.
18. Restore the bookmark named Industrial Park.
Notice that the building is no longer selected. Reducing the height
by 50 feet (16m) has solved the visibility problem. Of course, you have
greatly reduced the number of floors and subsequent square footage
of the building, so that will have to be addressed at another time.

Analyzing terrain
While you are reshaping the terrain using InfraWorks, you will often need to
answer questions about the effect of your design on the terrain as well as terrain
characteristics for the existing land that surrounds your design. In this section,
I will discuss two tools that InfraWorks provides for analyzing terrain: Terrain
Statistics and Terrain Themes.

The Terrain Statistics command is helpful when you have reshaped the land
using coverages. Reshaping terrain requires earth to be moved, and earthmov-
ing is an expensive construction activity. For that reason, you will often need to
