3. In the top-right corner of your screen, click the Proposals drop-down
list and select Ex_5_3.
4. If the Style Palette is not visible, click Style Palette on the Manage
toolbar.
5. Click the Material tab of the Style Palette. Then select Material/
Parking Lot from the drop-down list.
6. Click the Add button in the Style Editing section at the bottom of the
Style Palette.
7. In the Define New Material dialog, select Texture under Effect
Definition.
8. Click the ellipsis button to the right of Uri.
9. Browse to C:\InfraWorks Essentials\Chapter 05\Textures\ and
select ParkingStalls.png . Click Open.
A dialog will appear informing you that the file you've chosen will
be copied into a location within the files for this model. This will
ensure that the file is available to others if you share the model.
10. Click OK to dismiss the Added Texture File To Model Resources dialog.
11. In the Define New Material dialog, under Texture Settings, set Width
to 10 (3) and Height to 64 (19.5). Click OK.
The 10 ft. (3m) width is the width of a parking stall, and the 64 ft.
(19.5m) height is the length of two 20 ft. (6m) parking stalls and one
24 ft. (7.5m) aisle.
12. Enter Parking Stalls as the name of the new style and press Enter.
You will use this material style to create parking stalls in the next
section. You can view the results of successfully completing this
exercise by choosing the Ex_5_3_End proposal.
working with Coverage styles
Coverage styles consist of a fill style, an outline style, and an outline width.
This allows you to create a large area using one material encompassed by a nar-
row outline using another. Common applications are parking lots with curbs,
mulch landscape areas with timber barriers, or perhaps a legal boundary with
an interior of one color and a boundary line of another. A color, a material, or a
