They include the following:
edit Launches edit mode.
delete Erases the object.
show tooltip Displays the tooltip for the object. Tooltips can be handy for
storing information about a building, perhaps the value, owner's name, or some-
thing of that nature.
edit tooltip Allows you to enter text or code to control the contents of the
tooltip.
Cut Copies the object to the Windows clipboard and removes it from the
model.
Copy Copies the object to the Windows clipboard but keeps the original in the
model.
Paste Takes an object stored on the Windows clipboard and places it in the
model. A preview of the object will move with your cursor. You must double-
click to place the item in the model.
Paste In Place Takes an object stored on the Windows clipboard and places it
in the model at the same location as the original.
duplicate Makes a copy of the object within the model. A preview of the copy
will follow your cursor until you double-click to choose the location for it.
Properties Opens the Properties panel for the selected object.
Remember that edit mode is active when you can see the gizmos when you select
an object. To turn it off, you can right-click the object and select Exit Edit Mode.

if you haven't already done so, go to the book's web page at www.sybex.com/go/
infraworksessentials and download the files for Chapter 3. Unzip the files
to the correct location on your hard drive according to the instructions in the
introduction.
1. If it is not already open, launch InfraWorks.
2. On the Start Page, click Open and browse to C:\InfraWorks
Essentials\Chapter 03\ . Click Ch03 Bimsville Bypass.sqlite
and click Open.
