Sinovel's timing was good in 2006, when domestic MW turbines
were in strong demand. At that point in time, Sinovel beat any
other manufacturer and produced the first 1.5 MW wind turbine
in China. This model completed the whole local supporting
industry chain in China and was put into production in June 2006.

At the early stages of Sinovel, it trained the largest after-sale
service team in China, in order to make up for any possible quality
problems. This team had more than 1 000 members at its peak.
Han Junliang challenged them to locate and solve problems before
owners experienced any failures. Sinovel paid high costs for this,
but also maintained its reputation for a period of time, achieving
improved quality and technology.
In 2008, the newly added installation capacity of Sinovel
reached 1 403 MW, ranking no. 1 in China and no. 7 in the world.
In 2009, the newly added installation capacity of Sinovel reached
3 510 MW, ranking no. 1 in China and no. 3 in the world.
