In 2010, the newly added installation capacity of Sinovel
reached 4386MW, ranking no. 1 in China and no. 2 in the world.
On13January2011,Sinovelsuccessfullylauncheditsinitialpublic
ofering (IPO) on the Shanghai Stock Exchange.
If Sinovel was compared to the “Legend” in China's wind
power manufacturing industry, Han Junliang would be the creator
of such a Legend. Shareholders all agreed that daily operations,
customer relations and government relations were all managed
by Han Junliang, who would take care of details on his own and
hadturnedtobeararetalentwithvisionandreliability.

Towards the Sea
What was commendable was in 2006, when Han Junliang ordered
1500 sets of main shafts from overseas and said “it will not be
easy to buy these in future”. Investors thought this to be too
aggressive, yet felt reluctant to interfere. Nevertheless, the market
stagedahugeshakeupin2008andsentthesupplyofmainshafts
into great scarcity, not available even with money. Han Junliang
wasproveninsightfulandrightonceagain.
In 2009, Han Junliang was looking for sea terminals and
planned to set up a port industrial zone in Changxing Island of
Dalian of Liaoning, Tianjin and Yancheng of Jiangsu, etc. When
