- the exchanges of truck management information between the maintenance
services and the truck, with the participation of the driver;
- driving exchanges between the driver, his truck and the services that enable
him to organize and manage his trips while respecting safety, efficiency and
profitability guidelines.

6.4. Bus in the context of ICT
The same reasoning applied to buses has to led to fairly similar results. In the
case of buses, it is necessary to make the distinction of hire for specific journeys
(schools and sports teams, for example) where the issues are very similar to trucks,
with one important difference. Indeed, it is not about transporting products and inert
material, but humans, with specific transport constraints, in particular concerning
journey times, refreshment stops, etc. The second category concerns buses used for
city, intercity or even long-distance transport, where it is a matter of planned
itineraries and times with passengers being able to choose their places of departure
and arrival. This leads to new constraints being taken into account, in particular with
respect to time, at every stage of the journey.
