In-Depth Information
As compared to the informational context established for trucks, in the case of
transport of travelers new aspects need to be taken into consideration, notably
involving communication between the driver and passengers, information as to the
progress of the journey (delay, connections, etc.) and informational access given to
passengers (the Internet, for example). It is a matter of making the journey pleasant
and possibly productive for them, if they so wish: continuing professional activities,
such as the writing e-mails, schoolwork (homework, revision) or entertainment
(films, games and television).

The corresponding diagram (see Figure 6.3) is therefore similar to Figure 6.2,
but with specificities.
Thanks to these analyses, we have been able to make the link between these
issues and the HelpMeToDo (HMTD) project [DAV 06] on which we have been
working for several years in the LIESP laboratory at Ecole Centrale of Lyon and the
aim of which is implementation of a “real augmented environment” at the service of
activities requiring exchange and assistance. In the next section, we outline the main
principles of IMERA (mobile interaction in the real augmented environment) and
HMTD.
