Correcting images right from Adobe Bridge
In this section, you will learn how to make simultaneous corrections to multiple images in Adobe Bridge.
The examples in this lesson do not go into depth in color correction, since those features are covered in
Lesson 5, “Color Correcting like a Pro.” You will be introduced to some simple corrections that you can
make when production time is at a premium.
1 In Adobe Bridge, select the images of the beach; the file names should be Hawaii_18.JPG through
Hawaii_21.JPG .
2 With all four images selected, right-click (Windows) or Ctrl+click (Mac OS), and select Open in Cam-
era Raw from the context menu. The Camera Raw dialog box appears.
These are not true RAW images, but the Camera feature allows jpgs to be opened in the Camera raw
plug-in as well. You will find out more about Camera Raw throughout multiple lessons in this topic.
3 Click the Select All button in the upper-left area of the Camera Raw dialog box.
4 Next, click the White Balance tool ( ) in the tools panel across the top, and click any of the grey
clouds. Notice that all four of the images selected on the left side of the dialog box are corrected. The
White Balance tool is not perfect, but it is a quick and easy tool that you can use to eliminate color
casts in your image.
