Removing the window.
Next, you will clean up the top edge by removing the top-most decoration. When removing large
spans of an image, such as this decoration, it is recommended that you Shift+Click with the Brush tool
to automatically connect one point to another.
3 Go to the Brush preset picker in the Options bar and change the pixel size of the brush to 20 .
4 Focusing on the left side of the church top, click one end of the decorative top strip, and then press and
hold the Shift key and click the other end of the decorative top strip.
5 Keeping the Shift key pressed, click the point where the roof steps back to meet the right side and then
click the right end of the right side. You now have a stretched out 'z' shape in your mask. You will
now use your lasso tool to make a selection.
6 Press the L key to select your Lasso tool. Press and hold the Shift key, and press the L key again to se-
lect the polygonal lasso tool.
7 Move your cursor to the left end of the mask line you just created, and click. Move the cursor along to
the first point of your 'z' cut and click again. Repeat this along the full length of the mask cut and
then up and around the top section of the church roof, until you get to the start point of the selection.
When cursor shows a close circle ( ) you can click to close the selection.
