Adobe sells another product called Photoshop Lightroom that integrates the
functionality of Bridge and ACR into one streamlined program optimized for
photographers. Many Lightroom users still use Photoshop for activities such
as layered blending, effects, filters, and much more.

In the following steps, you will use the parameters on the Basic tab to develop
the photo you opened in the previous section.

Open

if it is not already open in ACR. Because CR2 (the
second version of Canon raw) is a raw format, ACR will automatically
open when you choose File a Open In Photoshop.

Select the Basic tab if it is not already selected. The histogram is
color-coded by component, including RGB and CMYK. Black (K) is
actually shown in white. As you can see in Figure 12.4, the photo is
underexposed—the histogram shows all the peaks in the shadows.
