(2) Edit menu.
(3) Find menu.
(4) View menu.
(5) Help menu.
(6) Search input.
(7) Search type menu.

(10) Close window.
Find: The extensive options listed in the Find menu
helps you locate specific images in your growing
Elements catalog. You can search for pictures based
on date, caption, filename, media type and details
or metadata. From version 10 Adobe has added new
Object-based and duplicate photo searches that can be
accessed from the menu or search field.
Help: All the Help options available to the Elements
user are listed here. This includes traditional program
help pages as well as new support videos tutorials and
user forums. There is also a link here to the Inspira-
tional Browser where you will find tips, tricks and
techniques from Elements authors and experts.
Search: The search feature provides a quick way to lo-
cate items within your catalog. These may be individual
images, groups of photos identified by their keywords
or other metadata associated with the photos. Elements
displays results as you start to enter your criteria within
the box. The small down facing arrow on the left of the
search box displays a drop-down menu with different
search type options. Change the way Elements searches
by selecting a different entry here.
View: The View menu options control what type of con-
tent is displayed in the Organizer and how this content
is displayed. Under the View > Media Types menu you
can choose to display photos, videos, audio, projects
and/or PDF file types. Other entries in the menu provide
options for displaying details and filenames with the
thumbnails and settings to show grid lines or thumb-
nail borders.
