In-Depth Information
The interface for the Edit
Full mode of the Editor
workspace has many
similarities with
Photoshop
including a familiar
toolbar, menu structure
and pane (palette)
layout.
These tools provide the best quality changes available with Elements, but they do require
a greater level of understanding and knowledge to use effectively. The extra editing and
enhancement power of these tools comes at a cost of the user bearing all responsibility for the
end results. Whereas the automatic nature of many of the features found in the other three
groups means that bad results are rare, misusing or overapplying the tools found here can
actually make your picture worse. This shouldn't stop you from venturing into these waters,
but it does mean that it is a good idea to apply these tools cautiously rather than with a heavy
hand. You can find more details about the Edit Full mode in Chapter 10.

The two fastest ways to
get your photos from Or-
ganizer into Editor is to
select the Edit with op-
tion from the right-click
menu (1) or to click the
Editor button in the Task-
bar at the bottom of the
Organizer workspace (2).
Moving between Organizer and Editor spaces
With the Organizer providing the image management environment and the Editor the tools
and features needed for enhancing the photos, it is critical that moving files between both
workspaces is a simple and efficient as possible. Thankfully there are several different ways
to move from one space to the other.
