hours) is €58.
For €50/25 per adult/child, you can overnight in this venerable vessel before or after-
wards. Bike transport is €8. You can also book a day trip to Virrat (€78) or Ruovesi (€68),
travelling one leg by bus.

HIKING NORTH OF TAMPERE
The
Pirkan Taival
is a loose network of hiking trails totalling 330km in an area that
stretches from Helvetinjärvi National Park westward to Seitseminen National Park and
beyond. It's easy to work out your own route here; it's well marked, and regular sign-
boards show distances. Scenery ranges from peaceful Finnish farmland to marshes,
forests and gravel ridges. Huts and camping areas offer overnighting options. Trailheads
reachable by bus from Tampere are Virrat, Ruovesi and Kuru. Buy a map at Tampere
bookshops or the Seitseminen park visitor centre.
