Figure 5.10 Now most of the country shows an average of 9 % to 12 % hous-
ing price inflation. The picture becomes generally lighter, particularly in central
London, although ironically some of the few darkest spots are also there. A fall has
begun in Aberdeen. Its North Sea oil money runs drier, but in general a gradually
increasing inflation rate is spreading out from London.
