Figure 5.9 Overall, this year the average inflation is around 7 % but reached
as high as 30 % in a few places, particularly within central London. A clearer
picture begins to emerge of the rising prices in the South, although there are still
a few blackspots there where the prices are falling. Falls can be seen in the value
of homes in central Liverpool and many places further north.
