Figure 5-23. You can set options for both tables involved in a relationship with the Edit Relation-
ship window. It's important to understand which options make sense for which table, though. It
would be extremely rare, for instance, to allow creation of a parent record from a child table. And
since each child record only has one parent, clicking the option to sort the records in a parent table
is a waste of time.
Remember that Table Occurrences appear in the Edit Relationship window based on their re-
lative positions on the graph. Left and right don't matter here, but if it's easier for you to
visualize the relationship with the “one” TO on the left, then make sure the “one” TO ap-
pears to the left of the “to-many” TO. But because a TO might appear in the Edit Relation-
ship window on either side of the relationship, options are shown on both sides of the win-
dow even though you'll rarely set those options on the “one” side.
