Bidirectionality
You've started to tap the power of that one little line you drew between the Customers and
Jobs table. But one very important aspect of that line is worth paying extra attention to—a
line describes a relationship that works in
two
directions. You saw that in action when you
used the same relationship to make GTRR buttons that navigate between the tables at either
end of one relationship.
Notice that the GTRR command behaves a little differently depending on which table you
start from, since the tables are on either end of a one-to-many relationship. But the key
concept is that the relationship works both ways. That's why one Edit Relationship window
(
Figure 5-23
) lets you set options for both tables in the relationship.
