Finally, you can add just a little transparency; click the
Transparency tab and drag the Transparency slider to
about 9%. By doing this, you build up visual complexity
in a composition, because some of the leaves allow
just a little of the strokes under the current stroke to
almost show through. Click Save, and that's it: close the
dialog box. Figure 3-7 shows the boxes you just worked
through, and a before and after of the leaves stroke.
The payoff to this exercise, naturally, is to paint some leaves on
the trees. Go for it; if you want to make one of the trees enjoying
a different season than the other, stroke over the branches. Then,
while the path is still selected, use the Color Editor to change the
hue of the selected path, as shown in Figure 3-8.
