Create a brush stroke
in advance of a design you have
in mind to quickly populate the
design with an elegant collection
of shapes.
You'll find working with the Freehand and Brush Tool more rewarding if you press
CTRL

and then in Options check the Give Objects Most Recent Attributes box.
As a treat, play around with Snowflakes.xar; a brush you
can build or just use with snowflake designs.
You'll frequently want to make a path that has a Novelty or a Pressure Profile property into a
shape. As a shape, the object can then take a gradient fill or a bitmap and can be distorted
with the Mould Tool. To change a path into a shape, choose Arrange | Convert Line To Shape.
