Switch to the Selector Tool, press CTRL - K to duplicate the
character, and then click the Flip Horizontally button on
the Infobar.
Give this duplicate a different color than the original,

and then use the Selector Tool to move the reversed
character around until it aesthetically fits over the
original. Make sure the stems are visible and the
character almost appears to embrace the original
character while still maintaining legibility.
Choose the Contour Tool. With the original character

selected, drag a contour outward from the character, using
the control handles, until the meter on the Infobar tells
you the Contour Width value is about 9 pixels. Type 1 in
the Number Of Steps field to the left of the Infobar; you
only need one outline of the character.
Perform step 4 on the duplicate.

Select both text objects with the Selector Tool and then
press CTRL - SHIFT - S to convert the text to simple shapes.
Then ungroup the shapes by pressing CTRL - U three times.
With the Pen Tool, carefully draw a closed shape around

the bottom (original) B's center horizontal stem, where
both bowls join.
