Choose Start, right-click Computer, and choose Manage. The Computer
Management window opens.

In the list of tools at left, click Device Manager.

Choose a nonessential device, such as a modem, network adapter, or sound card, and
display its properties. To do so:
a.
Double-click a category to expand a list of devices within it.
b.
Double-click a device to open its Properties box.

Click the Driver tab, and make a note of the manufacturer and model number, the driver
date, and the driver version.

Click the Update Driver button.
5.
Click Search Automatically For Updated Driver Software, and wait for Windows
to search for a newer driver. If it fi nds one, follow the prompts to install it. If a
message appears that the best driver is already installed, click Close and continue to
step 6.
6.
Open a web browser, and display the website of the device manufacturer. Search
through the Support section to see if a newer driver is available. If it is, download and
install it.
7.
Close all open windows.
