To control the screen resolution in Windows 7, right-click the desktop and choose Screen
Resolution. This opens the Screen Resolution section of the Control Panel. You'll get a
chance to practice this in more detail in the following exercise.
In earlier Windows versions, right-click the desktop, choose Properties, and set the
resolution in the Display dialog box.

Change the Screen Resolution in Windows 7
1.
In Windows 7, right-click the desktop and choose Screen Resolution.
2.
Open the Resolution drop-down list, and drag the slider to the next-to-highest
setting.
3.
Click OK. The resolution changes, and a message asks if you want to keep the
changes.
4.
Click Revert. The resolution returns to its previous setting.
5.
Click Advanced Settings. A dialog box for the display adapter appears.
6.
Click the Monitor tab.
