Multiple copies
Generalizing the ARRAY command to the third dimension, we have the 3DARRAY
command.
The 3DARRAY command
The 3DARRAY command (alias 3A ) is used to create equally spaced multiple copies
of the selected objects in a rectangular or polar pattern, by following these steps:
1. We will start by demonstrating the rectangular pattern. After selecting the
objects, choose Rectangular :
Command: 3DARRAY
Select objects: Selection
Enter the type of array [Rectangular/
Polar] <R>: Rectangular
2. Define the number of rows along the Y direction of the current user's co-
ordinate system:

3. Define the number of columns along the X direction:
Enter the number of columns (|||) <1>:

4. Define the number of levels along the Z direction:
Enter the number of levels (...) <1>:

5. Next, specify the distances between equivalent points (for instance, the
lower-left corner to the next lower-left corner), starting from the distance
between the rows along Y. A negative value places the copied objects
along the -Y direction:
