Florin Bolivar 567 04 6451313. This lively Dutch-run place has an authentic pub-feel
with a huge central bar, prominent photos of Holland's football team, excellent beer (in-
cluding several from a local microbrewery), and a daily happy hour (9.30-10.30pm). The
menu has dishes from all over the world, including a full English breakfast, baked Camem-
bert and Pad Thai (mains Bs20-50). Mon-Thurs 7.30am-2am, Fri-Sat 7.30am-3am, Sun
7.30am-midnight.
Joy Ride Café Ortíz14, joyridebol.com . PartofaDutch-runminiempire(there'salsoa
travel agency and a shop), this bar-restaurant serves local and international dishes (Bs35-65),
as well as cocktails and ice-cold beer (from Bs14). There are film screenings, pool tables, a
heated patio, book exchange and internet and wi-fi access. It gets pretty lively on Fri and Sat
nights too. Mon-Fri 7am-late, Sat-Sun 9am-late.
El Mirador Plaza Anzures. Grab a deck chair in the lush garden of this outdoor café and en-
joy the fantastic views over the city. There are snacks, light meals and treats like crêpes and
tiramisu, along with beer, juices and excellent iced cappuccinos. Profits help fund a museum
and educational project for local children. Drinks Bs5-20, snacks Bs10-30. Daily 9am-8pm.
Para Ti Café Audiencia 68. Sucre's finest chocolatier also has a tiny café (there are just
three tables) and a short menu of delicious hot chocolates, and chocolate-flavoured milk-
shakes, coffees and liqueurs. There's also home-made cakes and - of course - a vast array of
chocolates and sweets to choose from. Daily.

taining folkloric dance and music shows; buy tickets (Bs120 with dinner) from the Flavour
café or a tour agency. Tues-Sun 8.30pm.
Casa de Cultura Calle Argentina, a block from the plaza. Home of the city's main tourist of-
fice and the public library, the Casa de Cultura often hosts folk music performances, as well
as small exhibitions of local arts and crafts, and other events.
