( 7053 0024; s/d from T77,000/88,000; ) One of two new top-end hotels, Gobi Sands is
smart, modern and immaculately clean throughout. Rooms are spacious and have plenty
of natural light, and the 7th-floor bar-restaurant has great views of the distant mountains.
Wi-fi throughout. Breakfast included. Note, there's no perceptible difference between
standard and semi-deluxe rooms.

( 7053 4999; www.khanuul-hotel.mn ; s/d from T70,000/120,000; ) More business-orien-
ted than its top-end rival, Gobi Sands, but still a very slick option. Staff here seem to
have better English-language skills, and are more professional, but the restaurant-bar
doesn't have the same great views. Wi-fi throughout.

and comfortable throughout. All rooms come with kettle, TV, wi-fi and attached bath-
