DlS is a statistical particle sizing technique that can provide size distributions of the
hydrodynamic radius of particles in the subnanometer to micron size range. In DlS,
particles suspended in solution are illuminated with a laser; as the particles move
due to Brownian motion, they scatter the laser light, creating fluctuations in the
