Heading west on the trail, pass under a concrete bridge at Taft Avenue. The trail contin-
ues west, but instead backtrack for 0.3 mile.

Stop backtracking and bear left (northeast) of the concrete trail onto a narrow dirt trail cre-
ated by cyclists. This path follows the south edge of the bayou.

Follow the bike path along the bayou and up a slope to rejoin the concrete trail. Backtrack
to the trailhead.

Arrive back at the trailhead and parking area.
