Baby, this is where the magic happens. Inside a small white food
truck, emblazoned with a giant shrimp, a hardworking cook sizzles up the tastiest shrimp
on Maui. Maybe even the world. We are so not kidding. The $12 shrimp plate - try the
hot and spicy - includes 12 seasoned shrimp (they're big, and you gotta peel 'em), a
scoop of creamy delicious crab macaroni salad, and one scoop of rice.
A few words to the wise: bring handi-wipes, don't wear white and don't eat the meal
in your car. The nearby Maui Nui Botanical Gardens (

has picnic tables. Dig
in. Die happy.

Hawaiian decor and unbeatable island
grinds
make this a favorite
stop. The
kalua
pork is, as they say, ʻso tender it falls off da bone,' and the more expens-
ive plate lunches are big enough to feed two. Expect a crowd at lunch but don't be de-
terred, as the service is quick.
