Figure 16.4   The rendered 3D scene
in Photoshop.
In the following steps, we will continue the previous exercise and see how to
import the DAZ 3D scene into Photoshop as a 3D editable layer using the
DAZ Studio 3D plug-in:
1.
In Photoshop, click the Export Scene as U3D.
2.
In DAZ Studio, a dialog box appears that let you set the U3D properties.
Click OK to start rendering and importing the content in a new
Photoshop document.
Export Scene as DAE
As mentioned earlier, DAE Collada ile and U3D are commonly used formats
for transferring 3D iles from diferent applications. This option lets you
export the DAZ 3D scene in the DAE format and import it into Photoshop as
a new Photoshop document. The scene is imported as a 3D layer, so you can
easily edit it using the Photoshop 3D tools.
You can create the 3D layer in Photoshop based on the DAE format by
following the same steps as creating the U3D ile and clicking the Export
Scene as DAE button. The only change is that exporting content as a DAE ile
does not require editing or accepting any options in DAZ Studio.
The diference between importing a 3D scene from DAZ Studio as U3D and
DAE is that the U3D format ignores the DAZ Studio cameras applied to the
object. However, the imported scene as U3D format appears in the 3D layer
as a whole scene without focusing a camera on any speciic area.
