In-Depth Information
On the other hand, importing the 3D scene as DAE preserves the original
scene cameras that are applied to it in DAZ Studio. When you use the Export
Scene as DAE button, the imported 3D layer inherits the same camera focus
and positions the original scene. However, using DAE is recommended to
preserve the original scene's look in Photoshop.
Note: When importing
the 3D scene as a 3D
layer, the 3D properties
are not imported
properly. You must
review the 3D
properties for the 3D
scene objects after
importing it into
Photoshop.
Import Image Maps
The DAZ Studio plug-in provides you with the ability to open DAZ Studio 3D
scene maps in Photoshop. You can edit these maps and update the model in
Photoshop in either the 2D or the 3D layer. The Import Image Maps button
lets you import the 3D scene maps as separate JPG iles. Follow these steps
to open a 3D scene map or groups of maps in Photoshop:
1. After importing the 3D scene to Photoshop using the previous steps,
click Import Image Maps.
2. Choose one of the maps that is applied to the 3D scene. You can choose
more than one map by holding the Shift key to select sequenced maps
or the CTRL (CMD on the Mac) key to select separated maps, then
clicking OK. The selected maps open in Photoshop to edit (Figure 16.5).
Export Image Maps
You can import the 3D scene maps to Photoshop; you then have the ability
to edit the imported map and export it again to apply the changes to the 3D
