GIMP offers a number of filters that can turn your images into digital works of art. Image retouching and
restoration can be tedious and difficult work at times, so this can be a fun way to work with your images.
You can experiment to your heart's content without the messiness of actual paints, brushes, or inks.
For the professional retoucher, converting photographs into digital art can be an added service to offer
to clients. For the hobbyist, it can be a fun and creative way to make gifts for family and friends, or even
spruce up decor.
